Welcome to Mumpers, Derby's regular ceilidh club.
Mumpers meets on the first and third Sunday of every month (with a summer break),
at the Meadows Inn, Chequers Road, Derby, within a minute of the Pentagon Island on
the A52 (click
here for a map).
Ceilidhs start at 8pm: on the first Sunday monthly we have a
Mumpers Own Ceilidh, and on the third Sunday a
Mumpers' Guest Ceilidh (we may not always
stick to this alternation precisely). We also hold
Musicians' Workshops starting at 7:15 before some Ceilidhs - see the
Mumpers Diary for details.
All are welcome - no matter how many left feet you have or what age you are. You
don't have to dance: you can just come and enjoy the atmosphere if you
want. And we welcome anyone with the ability to play music, sing, call,
or share any other talent.
Why not come and join us for our next ceilidh? Admission is
Ł2.50 per adult, children free!
